INSEAD Admit

I got an admit to the July 2009 INSEAD class starting at Fonty. I got notified via email unlike the 'typical' phone call. I didn't particularly enjoy INSEAD's phased admission notification process as the anxiety wore me and my wife out. I have to say, I nagged the living hell out of her.

So, I feel great. But daunted about having to make a payment/decision by March 21st. I have an ISB admit and am waiting for news from Stanford. I need to think through the pros & cons of ISB & INSEAD. That & funding options (I'm researching this topic pretty heavily) would be the topic of my next post.

Hi,

Was reading through your blog. I am admitted to ISB for Apr '08 and waiting to hear back from INSEAD for Jan'09 intake. Am supposed to hear back regarding the interview by 4/18, but am supposed to be at ISB by 4/12. Regarding this, even if I am pre-selected for an interview at INSEAD it takes a few to schedule and accomodate it, so most possibly I will have to take my interview in Hyderbad.

- Do you know if anyone has had any luck in trying to get INSEAD to send out the interviewing details earlier?

- Should I tell INSEAD that I will already be starting at ISB before I hear from them, or in your opinion would that count against me?

- I can also just say I'll be moving to Hyderabad for personal reasons, and ask them to find some alum's around there..

I know its a long post, but am just a bit nervous and trying to get more opinions.

Many Thanks,

@ crush: I applied to Fonty and got Fonty. I was contemplating switching to Singapore due to personal reasons but for the time being I've deferred it.

@samarth: I would suggest that you ping INSEAD to give you an early decision. It's a big mess committing yourself to 2 universities. I've heard that they are quite flexible. I dont think you're expected to give too much specifics other than that you've got a competing admit.

The good news is that INSEAD gets ahead of their proposed dates by a week or so.

Did they tell you the exact dates for orientation and the first day of class? What date would an accepted student need to be in Fonty? Thanks.
